For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also - Matthew 6, 21. Can that be turned around to say where your heart is, there lies your treasure? (Using 'treasure' here to mean precious things, not necessarily money, although that was what Jesus was talking about at the time). If so, then treasure is that thing or things on which most time, money, care and concern are spent. Is it possible to change one's treasure by consciously changing one's habits? Does that imply the heart has been changed by a conscious decision? Similarly, if love can be defined as a practical caring for someone, can one learn to love a person by doing those things which would indicate love?
