Artifaxis is updated on Tuesday and Friday

London Expo is now over - for May this year, anyway. It'll be back in October. But wow, it was a good one - I thoroughly enjoyed it, although not all for Expo-related reasons. Read here for Moonshadow's journal, which is fairly descriptive of what I did (but substitute 'talking about comics' for 'taking photos'. You get the idea. Oh, and I didn't eat at the canteen, either).

One of the more exciting things about the expo was the launch of Stardust, the new anthology from Sweatdrop. It came about from those of us who entered the Tokyopop Rising Stars of Manga UK and Ireland competition last year and didn't win - we thought since we had these comics, we might as well make a book anyway! I am very pleased to say it sold like hot cakes - the best single-selling item we have ever had - and I hope everyone who has one enjoyed it. Moonshadow and I had a story in there called Reya; you can see a two page preview here, and the book will be available to buy online very soon.

In addition to a fantastic Expo, I came home to find two pieces of fan art waiting - one Rua, by Mathew, and a Saryth by Bex - thank you both very much! I'm glad to see Rua has a fan out there, and I note that Saryth and Kite are now neck and neck in the fanart stakes. There is another piece, which came inside a birthday card, but that will have to wait for me to scan it. It's been a really cool weekend. I just need another day or so to recover ^^;;
