Software company where Rachael works, providing text mining/search software to the pharmaceutical industry.
Planning to hire in 2009: a sysadmin, a developer, a QA/support person, and an application specialist. I expect the dev role will involve C or Java.
May be interested. What are they like to work for? --Admiral
Pretty good. Small and growing. Informal and hierarchically fairly flat, so lots of scope to make suggestions and help with things outside your immediate responsibility if you want (and not if you don't want). Interesting domain (computational linguistics). Fairly flexible with hours and stuff. A bit Agile for my tastes (I wish we had proper specs), sometimes verging on disorganised. The people are nice, and generally very clever. --Rachael
