A lush and stylish anime, in the manner of CowboyBebop or DotHackSlashSlashSign. Mireille is a professional assassin. Kirika is a schoolgirl who's incredibly effective as an assassin, but can't explain why. It follows them trying to find out about Kirika's past, and the significance of the name "Noir".

Most episodes feature them killing lots of black-suited goons with guns, to a soundtrack of choral tracks ("Dona nobis pace, et salva nos, Domine") or pounding remixes, or both.
