Anyway, off they trot - on their quest to catch fish and repaint temples and... ye gods, Gourry is as much of a sucker for side quests as [that other guy]!
Eventually they discover why the sword of light is so important, and they probably win. By this point I'd stopped watching. But my understanding is that the plot is the same as AngelicLayer. Uh no, that's not right. (I really really hope.)
