Try cycling north through this junction at 8:55am. The number of cyclists heading south, then turning right into St John's Street without signalling or even looking is quite shocking. I've come quite close to smashing into several, in the rain. -- TheInquisitor

But you can't go straight on... and there's nothing interesting to the left.  Where else would you be going? -- Naath (OK, so I've gone straight on there before, but it's illegal and a stupid idea 'cos you get busses trying to run you over)
(PeterTaylor) I agree that JesusCollege isn't especially interesting, but I do sometimes go there, and I turn left to do so.
Erm... Yes, there are the 10% who go straight on, too. They're also annoying, but not to me. -- TI

Hmm, yes, I've just realised that it's entirely unclear which direction not-signaling at that junction is headed Southbound.  (It's already unclear which direction not-signaling is in practice headed Northbound). -- Senji
Southbound, you come to a T-junction, so there is no "not-signalling" direction. --Admiral
Northbound, the "not signalling" direction is to follow the road round to the right, onto Round Church Street. --Admiral
Not in the opinion of PeterTaylor's driving instructor, who told him to signal right when following the road to make it clear that he wasn't going straight on, and not to signal if going straight on, to make it clear he wasn't turning left. Haven't checked the HighwayCode to see what it has to say.
Doesn't seem to be in there, at which point I would fall back to the road markings, which indicate what is a turning and what isn't. --Admiral
