Well, writing up catam is what I am not doing as I am making up wiki pages about writing up catam, which is what I should be doing but am not.

I am attempting to explain clearly how an algorithm I wrote a month ago works. At least I think I wrote it a month ago, I can't remember writing the damn thing at all.

Also, the queens printer is out of ink and going stripy, and noone will think to fix this until after the bank holiday, which will be a little niggle to really really bug me as I want everything out on paper and sorted!

It used to do it automatically, then I went home, and now I'm back it doesn't. It doesn't hugely worry me at the moment (given the large weight of catam hanging over me it's not really on my mind...) How do I get msn and icq replacements in linux?

At the risk of your ire, there is a program called Licq for the latter.

There is a program called gaim that works well for msn. It tries to do icq too, but not as well as licq. Many people use trillian for both, which I can't personally recommend as I've not tried it.

I am *still* writing up catam. (Emperor visited and slowed this down a bit, but failed to bring biscuits. Lots of empathy though, he has an evil vet project that sounds even worse, although he did get free visits to the zoo.) Can anyone remember what arbitrary value I picked for t a month ago? It's got to be in this code somewhere...

Hey, guess what I'm doing.... :-) t turned out to be 100, not sure if it's big enough, but I can't really lie and say it was bigger and then slap in the results for t=100 ;-)

Proteins it goes, it goes... I hate this time of year, the world always seems to be divided into three groups - mathmos who are practically finished, mathmos who have given up, and me. It's kinda lonely in this group...

Can we put that on the web? Is is outside the guidlines of reasonable collaboration? Yay, put the catam answers on the wiki, increase our hits and watch the community grow and fill with *looooove*...
(Or at least post answers on how to improve my damn ook other than "No, don't run it for big things, really, that's a bad idea..." ;-) )

Am not writing up catam. Woke up late, brain feels fuzzy, need a shower and breakfast, so it's going to be a late start today. Hope that's not making me *too* unproductive. My big toe is numb.

My big toe is no longer numb. I have written up a few pages of catam. Doing questions because the programming is easy and the answers can just be copied off the ook handout is a GoodIdea. Then thinking that it's all quite interesting and wasting hours trying to understand the stuff you could just copy out is a BadIdea.

I'm sorry about this page, rest of wiki, it's helping me vent catam rage and makes me feel so less alone as I sit in my room cursing the thing.... just don't read it. It's very dull.

Out of motivation error. Write up not happening. Should have stayed in bed this morning :-)

The moral of the day - writing up catam should be done after a relaxing night of much sleep. Rather than while shattered, feeling slightly sick and wondering when Tom's going to pop in on the way back from the dentist. Should have stayed at foundation ;-)

Moral of next week - always put off until tomorrow that which is not due in for at least five hours and anyway you can probably squeak it into the pile after the closing date because you can slip in to mill lane offices and oooh! PrettyColours! --Vitenka
