This is the tutorial saying who should edit which EO Wiki pages under what circumstances. Quicklinks to the commonly edited pages are provided at the top of this page for convenience.

Responsibilities of the Keeper of the Records

Each heartbeat, perform these maintenance tasks:

Update the /HeartBeat page to list time of the next heartbeat. Unless we decide that's pointless and unnecessary.
Update the /WorldState with any /PendingChanges to elemental strengths, and corresponding changes to powers if applicable.
Enact results of any /ActiveVotes which passed, making the appropriate changes to /TheHierarchy. Then replace the /ActiveVotes with any /PendingVotes unless the original Masters have extended the Period for Modification.
Collect the /HistoryLog of Meetings and votes, the /PendingChanges to elemental strengths, and the /ActiveVotes and their results, to the /ArchivedHistory.
Reset the HeartBeatMana? scores on /TheMages.

Also to watch over votes cast on /ActiveVotes to ensure correct information is provided. However, it is the individual Mage's responsibility to provide correct information on their votes and not to mislead - in particular, to accurately state their pawn count.

If the Keeper neglects any of these tasks, in future the /HeartBeat of the World *will* continue. Other Mages are requested to aid in performing the above tasks if they have not been performed by 10am the day after the midnight of the /HeartBeat.

Responsibilities of individual Mages

When a Meeting is finished, as soon as is reasonably possible one or more of the Mages from it shall make the following reports:

Add a line to the /HistoryLog stating which Mages met, and roughly what they concluded. Brief summaries are fine; roleplayed descriptions (within a paragraph or two) are also fine.
Update the /PendingVotes page with any agreed proposals requiring voting. These currently include
- raises or lowerings of rules under Primus
- rules modifications under Secundus
Update the /PendingChanges with any alteration to elemental strengths agreed by Tertius.
Update the /TheMages list with any change to Mages' elemental alignments agreed by Quartus, and add an entry to the history log on the same page summarising the exchange.
Update /TheProphecies if anyone prophesied. Update /TheMages list with any change to their HeartBeatMana? spent on modifying or adding to /TheProphecies.

If modifications are desired to a Pending vote (before it becomes one of the /ActiveVotes), or an extension to the Time for Modification is desired, the Masters who proposed it must say so on the /PendingVotes page.

When there are /ActiveVotes, each Mage should:

Add their vote to the /ActiveVotes page, together with their pawn rating (from /TheMages) in the appropriate element (as specified on /WorldState).

Can anyone think of any other recordkeeping tasks required?

: Email all active mages that there is a vote pending this heartbeat?
: Note if a mage has not met for 10 heartbeats?
: Email all players if there is a problem applying a change to the Hierarchy, so that a meeting can be called for Primus to resolve it?

I suspect though it is better to keep the Keeper to the mechanics of moving and updating text on heartbeats, and leaving stuff (like inactive mages) to the grim reaper (who ever spots it). In particular, the Keeper's job should not affect game play - it should be either theoretically automatable stuff, or stuff to do with presentation (page design, wiki internals), without out altering the functionality presented.
