DouglasReay replies: I'm not sure this question isn't orthogonal to the original question of 'what is evil?' Whether a person decides that for them the decider of what is moral or not is a specific being (eg God or a particular Guru), or a set of principles (eg written or unwritten laws of their society) or just whatever pricks their conscience or elicits a particular emotional or visceral reaction, does that alter the question of whether a particular person can be evil as opposed to the person's actions?
