If I understand correctly, all Abrahamic religions have a concept of sin. That would include at the least Judaism and the Muslim religion in addition to Christianity. Most religious organizations have a concept of right and wrong, whether it be good vs evil or enlightenment vs banality; so one might understand sin to mean 'any act proscribed by a religious organization'. --hart
Except Christian sin also entails a concept of punishment and redemption. Whereas banality versus enlightenment doesn't. (And, to confuse things, the Buddhist hells act much as the Christian one - although presumably enlightenment avoids it.) --Vitenka (So what happens to, I dunno, a poisoner who later in life becomes enlightened?)
