Apparently SouthernTrains? have managed to wrangle an extension to the deadline for replacing them from the Health and Safety Executive.

Just to add, the luggage space and the fact that they'll actually carry bikes makes these trains in many ways preferable to the new kind. OTOP the new kind has power sockets for laptops and some even have WiFi?. --Vitenka
