AlexChurchill and DouglasReay are playing a huge game of Sparklies online:
Game name: Elephant
Board size: 21x21
Black player: AlexChurchill
White player: DouglasReay
Ruleset: Ticks mode, BcBaBd9?; more verbosely phrased as BcWcBaWa?-8(BdWd?)-Bd; and even more verbosely as: Black controls first, Black activates first, Black gets 9 deactivation ticks interleaved with 8 White deactivations, then roles swap.

The board position as at black's last move may be seen by selecting "Start new game", "Play online", "Play as white", entering the game name "Elephant", and clicking the slightly misleadingly labelled "Start new game!"
(Yes, this interface is planned to be reworked.)
This will cast you as White player, about to respond to Black's most recent move. Please don't click anything unless you're DouglasReay. Observer mode is coming soon; until then, please be careful.

That appears the be working and I've taken my first move. I didn't go for L11, aiming for J10 and K9, though that may well be the best response, as we are trying to test whether going first in the center spot is still a decisive advantage on a larger board.  The other two testing aims being whether it is ever worth starting a new base rather than adding to an existing one, and whether the tick size needs to vary during a game. --DR

Bug.  Instead of asking me to pick a square to control, I am getting:
game "Elephant"
white player
Choose a square you control to activate
Now fixed - 30th June, 2007

See /ElephantMoves for replay.
