Gift Registry - Hotel Information - Maps Date: 2nd February 2004 Please arrive by 10am. The reception will occur shortly after the ceremony. Please respond to the invitation by 10th January 2004 so that we can finalise numbers. Place: The Royal Chapel on the Queen Mary The Queen Mary is permanently docked at Long Beach in California. The reception will also take place aboard the Queen Mary. Contacting Us The easiest way of contacting either of us will be e-mail. If you are in the UK, you will have to append 001 to the start of the number. Please bear in mind the time difference! The lists are still very much in progress so if you don't see something you would like to give us, please check back later. The Amazon.com registry can be found here. Ordering online should hopefully be simple regardless of where you are in the world. The Target registry can be found here. Unfortunately, only a few of the items are available online but there are some things that can be ordered this way and the others should be available through any Target store in the US. The Ikea store registry unfortunately didn't work out but we are still looking to purchase several peices of furniture through them including desks, chairs and bookcases. If you would like to help us by either purchasing one of these items for us or putting some money towards one of these items, please get in touch. If you wish to stay in a hotel near our house, the two main options are the Courtyard by Marriott or the Ramada Inn. The Courtyard is about a mile north of us on Brookhurst and Slater. Their telephone number is (714) 968-5775. It looks like a reasonably nice hotel but a little more expensive than some. The Ramada Inn is about 4 miles away from us, where the 405 crosses Magnolia. It is a cheaper hotel but is perhaps not quite to the standard of the Courtyard. Their phone number is (714) 847-3388. Other good places to look for hotels are in the Long Beach area, which would put you close enough to the Queen Mary to not need a car due to the shuttles they run. If all else fails, the area around Disneyland will have many hotels of all types but these will probably be more expensive. The Queen Mary itself is, of course, a hotel. Mention that you are staying for the wedding and the room rate qouted to us was $129-$159 per night. So a little pricier of an option, but the most convenient to the event. Some MapQuest maps of relevant areas: From LAX, you will want to get onto the 405 going south which should be well sign-posted. To go directly to our house, you will want to exit the 405 at Brookhurst heading south. Then turn left onto Ellis and then the second minor street on the right will be San Marcos St. You should park in a visitors space in the main car park (not the spaces by the road) and we are right next to it. To reach the Queen Mary you will need to get onto the 710 going south (it crosses the 405). Basically, follow this to it's end and follow the signs for the Queen Mary. You will be looking for the Queen Mary hotel parking area. Parking tickets will be validated at some point during the day, either in the reception or chapel, so you won't have to pay. If you are staying in a hotel in the Long Beach area, the 'C' shuttles will take you to the Queen Mary. Once at the Queen Mary, go to the hotel entrance and explain to the nice concierge that you are there for the Stonham/Huntsman wedding. They will direct you into the elevator to your left, which you will then ride to the fourth floor, also known as the Promenade Deck. Once arrived at that floor, exit the lift and take the gangway to your left, crossing onto the Queen Mary itself. Turn right and walk along the deck nearly to its end. The chapel will be on your left just past the portrait of Liberace and just before you walk out onto open deck. We look forward to seeing you there!
