Competent, friendly, very very thorough and with it. Communicate understandably. A world of difference from the ones MoonShadow and SunKitten went with when buying the flat. Highly recommended.
So far they don't seem very quick at getting around to things. We emailed them to ask for a quote, and heard nothing for six days, so phoned them. They gave us a (complicated, multi-part) quote verbally on the phone and said they'd send a copy in writing. That was eight days ago and we haven't seen anything (I also chased it up when I was there on Thursday). --Rachael
Continuing to be unimpressed with them. They said they never received the email I mentioned above, so next time I emailed them I mentioned this and asked them to acknowledge receipt of the email asap, and five days later they hadn't got around to acknowledging it (but had received it this time). Also, they sent the forms to fill in (fixtures and fittings, leasehold info, property info, etc) without the accompanying explanation booklet which the forms said they should come with, so we were left to wade through the forms' legalese by ourselves. I phoned to ask for the explanation booklet, and they said they'd send it, but never did. They also sent us two letters several weeks apart saying the same thing, viz. that our sellers would like to complete by 23rd April (we're happy with this, but MB themselves seem to be the main cause of delays atm). --Rachael
DouglasReay and Kitiara have now finished buying their new house. We used MassuccoButtress?. They were not always very quick to respond (Mark handled things while Amanda was away for a few weeks and he uses email via a secretary rather than directly), however they were very competent, took time to explain things clearly, listed all their charges up front and were willing to put in extra work when things came up without further charge. I'd certainly use them again.
PS Google doesn't find this page, probably because we refer to thier name in WikiWord format, rather than as "Massucco Buttress". Probably something to bear in mind for future recommendation pages.--DR
