Nope, nothing happens.

Oh, you get a massive information dump while watching two of the main characters being led a merry chase around a small Japanese village. The mythology suffered rather from the fansubbing, but the gist of the rest of it seemed to be that Harold - the (spoiler deleted) from .hack//sign - was carrying on the work of his girlfriend (who'd died in a car crash) concerning putting people's minds into a computer game, with the result being The World. Harold didn't have all the data he needed, with the result that The World was flawed. The main characters met Helba's assistant (Helba being another familiar name from from .hack//sign) who told them much of this. The main characters then all made a significant decision of some sort - MoonShadow guesses that it was to carry on with the mind-computer merge work.

So, Lain then?

Basically, yes ^^; Although I don't know whether the people writing this agree with YoshitoshiAbe? on whether mindmelding with computers is a good thing or not yet.

: Well, since Aura appears to be putting people somewhat unwillingly into coma's I would guess that the awakening didn't go as well as it might have. I'd best stop reading this page until I can watch this one though.

Vitenka would like to breifly throw his weight behind the "Emma is Aura is (the lady in this episode)" theory. It's probably wrong, but she is certainly hiding SOMETHING -and has an over-large knowledge of Emma's life. I'd also read something into her reaction to the "I could be falling for this Emma" line.

And the closing line. "Are we going to do it? / {steps over line} / Yes - because this is my game."
