A Quake? mod, one of the first to really prove how far you could alter Quake? (this was before the source code was released).

They turned Quake? into a racing game.

Sadly, this mod was never really finished - so there are only a few maps.

But it is not forgotten, and quake3rally and hlrally both show that good mods never die.

Advantages over other racing games:

Easy control system. Look in the direction you want to go, and let the steering turn toward it. Turn faster by over-correcting.
Nailguns and rocket launchers.
Multiplayer
Silly stunt courses

Disadvantages:

Very few cars. All cars perform identically.
Very few maps.
No campaign or season mode - individual tracks only.
