Indeed.  By contrast with RNA, which is just plain ol' Ribonucleic acid.  Who'd'a thought that removing the oxy would make such a difference?  --AC, spamming

One school open day, PeterTaylor and a friend, Quint, were assigned to chemistry, and making models of chemicals using those springs and coloured balls with holes in. After we'd done a few simple ones, I persuaded Quint to ask the teacher whether we could have a go at making a model of deoxyribonucleic acid. She gave him rather a strange look.
