At the banquet I was using left click to advance the dialogue but had my mouse pointer in the graphical area. This resulted in one of the options of who to talk to being chosen. I was surprised by this, and surprised that I couldn't rollback to the options. I continued, the same thing happened again. This time I decided to use the space bar. After some dialogue I pressed space to advance it and a series of options flashed up for a moment and one was chosen again :( This is on OS X. --RobHu
I reloaded to an earlier save, everything was fine up until the point where you have been drinking the elven drink, and then have to choose who to go talk to. --RobHu
Possibly [the menu is not being displayed?] --RobHu
It fixes itself after the banquet --RobHu
Ah ok.... I looked at the source and figured out it's not a bug at all! *goes back to his cocktails* --RobHu
It's not a bug?  It's now happening to me - what do I do?  I want to choose :( --AmyRobinson
Think about what you chose to do right before it happened.. I'm afraid the only way to make choices during the banquet is not to make the choice you did right before you lost control - SunKitten
Wah.  I've just got the 'bad ending' twice.  One with choosing and once without, so evidently all the Elvin wine didn't change my choices enough...--AmyRobinson
I found I really had to go all out for a good ending - Asilana is probably the easiest since she more or less throws herself at you, but Tohko is also quite easy as long as you make sure to get all the right responses (roll back every time you guess wrong) when chatting about your shared childhood - SunKitten

Looked at the source?! Naughty naughty :) Yeah, it happens if you get drunk on the strong elven wine. I'm reworking the way it happens for v1.1 so that it's a lot clearer what's happening. --AC
Well, you did leave the source lying around, I didn't decompile it or anything. One thing I never understood was what to do in the fights. Now I've looked at the source I understand how what you do affects things, am I right in thinking the combat was supposed to be more RPG like originally (the commented out bits suggest so)? --RobHu
Yes, the option of RPG-style combats will be the other major upgrade coming in the 1.1 release later this month. I may also change slightly the way that actions in combat affect girls' opinions even if you choose the story-based combat system rather than the RPG-style minigame. --AC
