WhiteWolf introduce a slight power imbalance, by providing mages whose only enemies are each other and who have the power to change ANYTHING with just a thought.

They can't do it very OFTEN - but the system, unfortunately, encourages AlphaStrike.

Never seen it played as it is written - but it plays well for a heroic modern 'supers' game.

As it is written, it is supposed to be a war for the hearts and minds of men (what, all three of them left in the world) who shape reality through their collective belief.

If sounds really very cool - but it never seems to quite work.

The renaissance version plays a lot better.

Not that all games about reality-altering powers are doomed to failure... he said, over drinks in TheGateway.
