English is a wonderful language to not lie in. Sentences are USUALLY ambiguous, meaning is conveyed primarily by context and body language.
Words have multiple meanings - some of which are complete opposites.
And, of course, the invention of sarcasm was a godsend.

It is very important not to lie.
