4oz marge
8oz sugar
2 eggs
6oz plain flour + pinch salt
1 level tsp bicarb
1lb 4oz bananas - these should be quite ripe and squishy. I often put
in less than the whole amount if I do not have enough bananas. the
recipe also has 2oz chopped nuts in, but most people in this family
prefer them left out. Its up to you!

Cream fat and sugar, add egg and mashed bananas. Fold in flour and
bicarb. Put in a loaf tin (greased etc) and bake at 350 for ? (no
time in my cook book!!!. I would guess 40 min or so. Do it once and
leave in longer if it looks like it needs it! Do the knife test too)
