I think I'll reference Preacher here. A comic wherein the title character is given the power of the word of god.

Anything he says, is.

Telling people to 'get lost' becomes somewhat dangerous.

Anyway, I won't spoil the plot - but let's just say that the preacher has a number of people gunning for him for various reasons ranging from the religious to the power crazed, and that he himself has something of an unorthodox view of religion.
