This is just a quick sketch, drawn first in blue pencil then inked (2005). Normally I'd remove the blue lines after scanning to retain just the inked lineart, but I quite like the combined effect as well. I was experimenting with coloured pencils with the intention of using them for future comics (where possible), because rubbing out the pencil lines on twenty-plus comic pages is hard work.
The scene was inspired by a ceilidh I went to at the reception of a wedding of friends of mine :)
