Berserk is a manga, a very long and violent one at that.

It has been going since 1989 and is still going, the author said in an interview that the end of the beginning is approaching. Which means that there's about 2 years until the main story could start.

There is also an anime that briefly covers the first 13 volumes in 26(or so) episodes. 26 episodes is not enough though.
