+ in NetHack, IIRC.

Contain instructions for casting spells, usually.

AnimusSilvae? had a [good collection], of which Multiplexing the Prey had to be my favourite...

When juggling, a multiplex is throwing two or more balls at once, and multiplexing is, when used casually, a juggling pattern which involves this. I now have an image of 'the Prey' being juggled... -- TI

Also a series of graphic novels written by John Ney Rieber, and featuring the misadventures of a young technically-wizard in some bizzare mix of contemporary life, and a reasonably typical 'alternative' vision of Faerie (the place - although it gets called other things in the book). I have one of the volumes of the collection (acquired cheap as ex-library stock) which is actually rather good. It's not the first, but it might be the second. It's one of the few series of western graphic novels I've seen for sale on more than one occasion. Target audience appears to be mid teens. -- TheInquisitor
