End of each year, each player get victory points for their total size points of their /Cities.

So a player with a score of 30, who has cities of sizes 4, 6 and 9 would increase their score by 19 to 49.

Hmm. I wonder if this is dynamic enough to allow catchup, if one player gets an early lead. I guess we're hoping that as transport networks grow and blossom over the years, city sizes will be able to grow faster towards the end, allowing greater VP shifts in the final turns as desired. --AC

It should be as easy to provide the resources to get a city from 7 to 9, as from 2 to 4, so if resources become available at a faster rate later in the game, they should indeed get the property you want.

In addition, there should be an element of choice of who you trade with - you don't have to accept the cheapest provider.  Which would let the other players penalise the winner a little.  --DR
