Christmas/Cards

The major dilemma with Christmas/Cards is giving cards to people just because you feel obliged to. For instance, because they've given you a card. Or gave you one last year. Or you work with them. Or your parents say you ought to. And so on...

Two years ago, my company had a policy of "No cards between colleagues in general", which stopped people feeling obliged to dish them out all round. But it did dampen the Christmas spirit rather. --M-A
