One of the last of the ancient (or at least old) colleges, situated slightly East and South of the town centre.

Of interest to tourists are the Christopher Wren chapel, and the duck pond.
Of interest to university members are the underpass (only one in any Oxbridge college!), and the duck pond.
Of interest to Emmanuel students are the free college laundry, and the duck pond.
Of interest to almost anyone who finds out is that, while many colleges own vast tracts of valuable land, Emmanuel had among its holdings one very valuable property. Yes, we owned the Stock Exchange building and the duck pond.

Famous alumni include John Harvard (who didn't found Harvard University, and isn't portrayed in a statue claiming to be him in the grounds of Harvard, which bears an incorrect date of founding for the university); and Gryff Rhys-Jones, who is reputed to have flooded the underpass as an undergraduate. There are probably others, but I can't remember them.
