[Scheme] to get people to keep easily-findable emergency contact details in their mobile 'phones.  Sounds like a very good idea. --M-A

Seems like this would bring up privacy issues, as anyone with access to a users mobile phone would inadvertently have the name of an individual who is very close to them.  This would be very useful for social engineering, which is becoming a growing trend.  --hart
(PeterTaylor) I have ICEParentsLnd?, which seems good enough.
(hart) Elaborate please?  I can't seem to get a result out of google for that term.
The scheme, as described in the article linked just above, is that people create a contact in their phone, called "ICE" or something starting "ICE". Peter's saying his is called "ICEParentsLnd?", presumably indicating it's his parents' landline, without giving away any names. --AC
(hart) Ah, thanks AC, my bad.  I'd still worry that insufficiently-paranoid people might do something like "ICEDavid".
