Described by those who have met someone who has a friend who has seen it as "A large black cat" - the Moors Beast is presumed to be an escaped panther, or possibly an over-evolved CollegeCat.

Rationalists who reject the possibility of its existence are few and far between, probably due to the CambridgeAura.

Less-Rational-ists who suggest it may have escaped from a zoo still have to deal with the proposition that it would have to be decades, if not centuries old by now.

Resurrecting this page, I do have to ask when the last sighting was. Or, if it hasn't been sighted recently - what on earth is the varsity filling its pages with now?

: I'd just like to add that the RealWorld suffers(?) from this too - the moors beastie has been sighted as far south as the coast. One wonders if it is a family. --Vitenka
