todo: find the guy's homepage and link to that too

Alleged to be capable of passing the TuringTest?, mentioned in NewScientist?, SlashDot?, ElReg? etc.
Capable of a limited turing test - able to live in a teenage ChatRoom?.  Also, as far as we know, it failed the test often, got detected as a bot and kicked or ignored - the occasional pass might or might not count.  ... Hmm, actually, the number of spammy "Hello! - A/S/L?" chatbots I've been banning recently might be related.  --Vitenka
Since when does being able to imitate a teenager in a chatroom count as passing the turing test? - CorkScrew
Technically, by definition.  If you can't tell whether it's a human or a machine, then it is a human.  Of course, this raises all sorts of questions about what teenagers in ChatRoom?s actually are...  The TuringTest? is a very minimal definition of AI.  --Vitenka
Requiem has seen people in chatrooms who would probably not pass the Turing test.

Cure much discussion over whether or not it's actually a hoax.
