Crash is best played with 4 players, but can be played with 3 and a dead hand. (You can play that the dealer has the option of swapping his initial hand for the dead hand, before looking at it).
Players are dealt 13 cards each and make up to 4 hands of 3 cards each and discard any unused cards. Legal hands, in order from best to worst:
3 threes; 3 of a kind (other than threes) with Aces high; Straight Flush (A23 highest, followed by QKA down to 234); Straight (Again A23 highest, followed by QKA down to 234); Flush.
You take your 2, 3 or 4 hand and lay them in front of you, face-down, ordered from best to worst. Each player then reveals his/her best hand, and the player who reveals the greatest hand wins that trick. This continues with the second best hand and so on until nobody has any hands left. The winner is the first person to score seven points.
Bonuses: You get a bonus of one point if you have four of a kind, and play all 4 of them over the course of your hands for the round. You win outright before even making hands if you have 4 fours. Something special happens if you have 6 pairs, but I can't remember what it is, so I never play with this rule. CategoryGames
