Bleh-desu. The dots are a lot fainter than I had hoped and the letters are messing with the order... Ah well.
Suggestion: I add a $$D tag to the markup that allows one to define letter to [imageserver] image mappings for the following board. You'd end up typing something like
$$D e=4 f=74 g=23 Z=5
followed by the standard board syntax, except the (case-sensitive) letters listed would be substituted for the images. Would that help, or would it be too unwieldy? - MoonShadow
We would have to remember that f="Sergeant facing up" and m="Stealer facing right" but this seems a lot better than trying to use multiple characters to represent each icon. A distinct possibility - Kazuhiko
