Artifaxis is updated on Tuesday and Friday
Two books arrived for us today. One of them is Rendering in Pen and Ink, by Arthur Guptill, a well-written and thorough book which has loads of excellent pen and ink art and information about the same, all written in a slightly old style which is really very nice. The other was one of Moonshadow's impulse buys. It's called Understanding Comics, by Scott McCloud, and it's about 'the elements of comic style and how words combine with pictures to work their singular magic', to quote from the back of the book. It's done in comic form, and it is an absolutely superb read. The result of which is that I didn't get done half what I meant to this evening, but never mind ^^
