Merianethel Sen-Tahallin Shir-Jiyaranis is Anvar's mother and Inric's sister-in-law. She is a skilled needleworker, and particularly enjoys bead embroidery. She tends to keep her opinions to herself, at least until someone is about to do something stupid.
Merianethel is tall, with dark skin and long, pale hair which is mostly worn loose, with small braids in. She is wearing a long blue tunic over a pale blue skirt.
