There is some controversy over what should be called Biscuits and what should be Cookies.
It's incredibly [simple]: biscuits can be removed from your floppy drive if you push the button; cookies crumble in there.

In America, if you ask for a biscuit, you'll end up with a savoury scone.  Which is a bit odd.  "Biscuit and gravy" has been seen on menus... --M-A
