Speaking as someone who hasn't seen the series :

Very cool.
But confusing in places, I suspect there are major references I missed.
- Not really - it's just a random episode. Pretty much every chracater is from the series, so you're missing their intro and character setup, but that's about it. --Vitenka

The plot is curiously topical. Bio-terrorism in a New York style city on Mars. ( It even has twin towers in one shot. ) Very nice.
