A top-down mass battle game somewhat similar to Gauntlet, in Gladiator, you hire a team of warriors ranging from Soldiers to Mages to Slimes, fight a bunch of enemies that are also of these types, gain experience, use your spoils to improve your warriors' stats, and then do it again on the next level. I dunno if you could really call it strategy. The battles themselves are pretty much just an action game. You can switch between which soldier you are currently controlling, and give a 'Yo.' command that makes your other soldiers move towards you, but that's as far as it goes strategy-wise. Between battles you use the points and gold that you collected to selectively improve the stats of your soldiers, giving the game an RPG element as well. --Ultros
