All right, let's try again. Hopefully this time I'll get cards that do something besides kill me. --Lavacamorada
Pre-Game Step (Lavacamorada):
Weapon Rack of the Flying Fish Artifact? 4, T: attach target Equipment to target Bird Merfolk. Gain control of that Equipment until end of turn
Dragon Explorer Creature - Dragon (3/2, white and white)? 2G: search your library for a land and put it into hand, then shuffle your library
Staff of Suppression Artifact? Discard a card, T: ~this~ deals 2 damage to target creature 3, Pay 3 life: counter target activated ability
Ethereal Escort Creature - Wizard (2/1, red)? Whenever ~this~ comes into play, regenerate target creature
When ~this~ is returned to its owner's hand, return target permanent to its owner's hand
Master of Rocks Creature - Goblin (2/3, red)? At the beginning of an opponent's main phase, the next time a green creature would be turned face up this turn, instead return that creature to its owner's hand Whenever a token creature with toughness equal to X, where X is the number of poison counters an opponent has is dealt damage, target Beast gets +3/+0 until end of turn 2: put a speed counter on target creature When ~this~ is put into a graveyard from play, put a speed counter on target artifact Sacrifice a Swamp, Pay 1 life: distribute up to 6 charge counters on target permanent with a speed counter on it 2, Discard a card: any number of target Golems get +X/+X, where X is the number of permanent types among permanents an opponent controls (The permanent types are artifact, creature, enchantment and land) until end of turn At the beginning of an opponent's combat phase, put a 3/1 Golem artifact creature token with flying into play Sacrifice a Golem: you reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a artifact card. If you do, you put that card into play and put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order. If you don't, you shuffle the revealed cards into your library. Sacrifice 4 Golems: untap all Beasts and those permanents gain flying until end of turn RRR, sacrifice 4 Golems: destroy target nonlegendary artifact
I think I have a pretty good guess at what's going to get vetoed.
Dragon-Blooded Scion Creature - Soldier (3/1, blue) Pay 4 life, Sacrifice ~this~: put a 5/5 red Dragon creature token with flying and fear into play 1G, sacrifice 5 Dragons: each player may search his or her library for 2 basic land cards and put them into hand. Each player who searched his or her library this way shuffles it. Whenever ~this~ regenerates, put a +1/+1 counter on ~this~ T, remove a +1/+1 counter from ~this~: the next time any player would draw a card this turn, instead unless an opponent pays 4, add 2WW to your mana pool Tap an untapped legendary basic land you control, remove any number of +1/+1 counters from ~this~: put that many 5/5 red Dragon creature tokens with flying into play
Flying Sliver Bomb Artifact Sacrifice a Sliver Bird: ~this~ deals 7 damage to target player
Corruptor of Minds Creature - Wizard (2/2, black) All blue creatures may not attack You may play ~this~ any time you could play an instant. 4: any number of target creatures become Wizards until end of turn
Gweegle, Towering Intellectual Legendary Creature - Goblin (3/1, blue) Whenever ~this~ is turned face up, put a destiny counter on target creature All creatures with destiny counters on them gain fear rampage X, where X is the number of lands in play
Warped Beast Creature - Beast Beast (3/3, black) Sacrifice ~this~: each player sacrifices a nonbasic land. all artifacts gain protection from red (This effect doesn't end at end of turn) Sacrifice ~this~: put a warp counter on target permanent All creatures with warp counters on them get -1/-4
Mm, taste the anti-synergy. I also have a fair idea of what I'd dislike the most in this set...
Facing down nearly unblockable 5/5's isn't my idea of fun. Veto the Dragon-Blooded Scion.
Turn 1 (Lavacamorada):
Touch of Sha Instant (white)? target untapped artifact is green until end of turn
Avaricious Churchman Creature - Cleric (3/2, black) T: search your library for a land and put it into hand, then shuffle your library
I attack you with my Corrupter of Minds.
I'll block with my Escort.
They both die (unless you were planning something strange and terrifying during the damage-assignment and so forth steps). Your turn.
During your end of turn phase, I will tap three Utopiae to play my Dragon Explorer's ability and get a Utopia in hand. I will then discard it to my Staff of Suppression to deal 2 damage to your Avaricious Churchman.
Turn 2 (Lavacamorada):
Noble Sacrifice Instant (blue)? the next time a Soldier would regenerate this turn, instead target tapped permanent can't be the target of spells or abilities until end of turn
The Beast Within Instant (blue) Buyback Discard a card unless any player taps an untapped enchantment he or she controls, target player sacrifices a tapped Beast. target enchantment gains If you paid the kicker cost, All creatures become Beasts (This effect doesn't end at end of turn)
Um. As there are no tapped beasts and no enchantments, looks like a Utopia.
I attack you with Gweegle.
I will use my Dragon Explorer to search for a Utopia, then discard it to the Staff to deal 2 damage to Gweegle.
Turn 3 (Lavacamorada):
Cy's Aura Enchantment (blue)? Tap an untapped colourless creature you control, Sacrifice ~this~: regenerate target blocking creature When ~this~ is put into a graveyard from play, you may pay 2UU. If you don't, regenerate target colourless creature 1, Sacrifice ~this~: destroy target land. They can't be regenerated.
Go.
Turn 3 (CP):
Citidel Sliver Creature - Sliver (2/2, green and green) 2WBB: put 1 1/1 blue Sliver creature token into play Sacrifice a Sliver: target Sliver gets +4/+4 (This effect doesn't end at end of turn) BR: target creature with power or toughness greater than X, where X is the number of creature types among creatures you control gets +0/-2 until end of turn and that creature gets +2/-1
I pay BR to apply +2/-3 to the Dragon Explorer (I have a Beast and a Sliver, which is 2, and its power is 3), which really ought to kill it.
In response, I will pay 2G to search for a Utopia. I will then discard it for 2 damage to your Citidel Sliver.
I did think that was going to happen. Presumably both effects go off and they both die?
Yes. Do you attack?
I think I shall attack you with my Warped Beast, yes.
I will take three.
Turn 4 (Lavacamorada):
Healing Light Instant (white)? each player gains 3 life
Not much else I can do. Go.
Turn 4 (ChessyPig): Strength To The Strong Instant (black) regenerate up to 3 target creatures with power greater than 4
No valid targets + Instant = Utopia.
I attack you with the Warped Beast.
I will take three.
Turn 5 (Lavacamorada): Fish Tank of Doom Artifact? T, Pay 4 life: copy target spell or ability and choose new targets for the copy Sacrifice a Merfolk: put a 1/1 blue Merfolk creature token into play Sacrifice a Merfolk: return target permanent to its owner's hand T, sacrifice any number of Merfolk: put that many 1/1 blue Merfolk creature tokens into play
Still nothing else I can do. Go.
Turn 5 (ChessyPig): Forestwalker's Code Enchantment (green) All tapped permanents are black To lie down is to die. -- Unknown tribesman
I think I shall be doing the attacking with the Warped Beast again.
I will take 3.
Turn 6 (Lavacamorada): Wild Reclamation Instant (colourless)? return target tapped nonbasic land to its owner's hand
Since there are no legal targets, I will put it in my hand to use as Staff of Suppression fuel.
Turn 6 (ChessyPig): Thought-Powered Harpoon Artifact Whenever any player draws a card, target player may pay 4UUB. If that player does, ~this~ deals 6 damage to all Merfolk. When a creature damaged this way is put into a graveyard from play this turn, return it to play under your control.
The generator appears to be on a Merfolk kick :). I shall attack you with the Warped Beast again.
I will discard Wild Reclamation to deal 2 damage to your Beast, then tap the Fish Tank to copy the ability for 2 more damage to your Beast.
I have no idea what order things go off in, but I have no useful cards to interfere with the process anyway. Your turn.
Turn 7 (Lavacamorada):
Maddening Song Instant (red)? Affinity for permanents unless an opponent discards a card, add 2 mana of any one colour to your mana pool
And I will mana burn for 2, since I have nothing to do with the mana.
Turn 7 (ChessyPig): March of the Golems Instant (red) put 2 1/4 Golem artifact creature tokens into play Transmute Sacrifice a creature
As they're summoning-sick, I shall just sit here for now.
Turn 8 (Lavacamorada): Mistwalker Creature - Wizard Cleric (3/3, blue)? Whenever a Wizard Cleric is put into a graveyard from play, return target land to its owner's hand If you paid the kicker cost, your opponents may play creature spells by paying Pay 1 life instead of their mana cost
For some reason, it didn't generate a kicker cost. Surprisingly enough, I wouldn't be paying it anyway. Go.
Turn 8 (ChessyPig): Zany Avoral Creature - Bird Elf (1/1, red) If a Soldier would deal combat damage to a player, an opponent may Sacrifice a unblocked creature. If that player does, prevent 3 of that damage Look at the pretty colours! Look at the pretty blood!
Aargh, you have a comptent blocker. I sit here and worry.
Turn 9 (Lavacamorada): Jarcena the Annihilator Legendary Creature - Bird (2/2, blue)? Pay 4 life: unless target opponent discards a green creature card, ~this~ deals X damage to target player, where X is the number of basic land types among lands you control As long as an opponent controls no nonblack enchantments, All legendary enchantments are white
I still don't have enough to get past your Golems, so I will say go.
Turn 9 (ChessyPig): Sliver of Many Things Creature - Sliver (2/1, green) G: you reveal the top 6 cards of your library. you put all nonwhite enchantment cards from among them into play and put the rest on top of your library in any order RG: unless target opponent taps an untapped permanent he or she controls, target player loses 1 life All Slivers gain When ~this~ leaves play, target player may Sacrifice a Merfolk. If that player does, destroy target tapped permanent 2, T: each player may search his or her library for 3 basic land cards and put them into play. Each player who searched his or her library this way shuffles it.
Umm. It is now relevant which of your permanents is actually tapped: can you sort it out, please?
None of my stuff is tapped, since I didn't attack or do anything that required tapping last turn.
I think I will go for activating the All The Silliness Now ability. Here are the top six cards of my 'library':
Belt of Enchantment Artifact Whenever equipped creature blocks, target player reveals the top X cards of his or her library, where X is the number of multicoloured permanents in play. that player puts a enchantment card from among them into hand and put the rest into his or her graveyard (...)
[Seed: 1764354051 - the (...) presumably wants to be an equip cost. ''The (...) means the generator has gone deep enough to overrun MoonShadow's limit on iterations. Eeple. --CH]
You're right, but it's just because of a silly infinite loop on my part. I'm looking into it. I suggest you generate a card and take the first manacost displayed to be the equip cost for this and the other one. --AC
Time For War Instant (white) two target creatures with defender get -3/-1 until end of turn
Reassignment Instant (white) attach target Aura to target creature with both power and toughness less than or equal to 1. (Control of that Aura doesn't change.)
Sacrifical Lamb Creature - Cleric (1/3, red) Sacrifice ~this~: until end of turn, if any player would lose life, instead search your library for up to that many Mountains and put them into play, then shuffle your library
Big Red Button Artifact ~this~ comes into play with 6 charge counters on it T, remove a charge counter from ~this~: destroy all permanents. They can't be regenerated.
Righteousness Device Artifact All library can't be the target of Arcane spells Whenever equipped creature is removed from the game, tap target red enchantment and destroy target Swamp Equipped creature gains rampage 2 (...) [Seed: 2128374387 - same error plus 'library' rather than 'libraries']
I put them back in this order:
Sacrifical Lamb (drawn next) Righteousness Device Big Red Button Belt Of Enchantment Reassignment Time For War (drawn last)
Um. Sorry about that. Your go.
Turn 10 (Lavacamorada): Parallax Reversal Bauble Artifact? When ~this~ is put into a graveyard from play, you may pay 1GG. If you do, distribute up to 6 fade counters on target permanent an opponent controls
Does the generator even make cards with fading?
Unfortunately not. It's quite hard to make it do sensible things with abilities like fading, phasing, echo and cumulative upkeep: it keeps trying to give them to targets "until end of turn". But I could do; it might be fun, although echo would be quite silly in Type 4. --AC
Sacrifical Lamb Creature - Cleric (1/3, red) Sacrifice ~this~: until end of turn, if any player would lose life, instead search your library for up to that many Mountains and put them into play, then shuffle your library
I run the Sliver's card-search ability again, putting the ones I know already back in the same order, and getting this as the sixth, which goes into play:
Spawning Season Enchantment (red) 4GR: put 1 1/1 red Goblin creature token into play Sacrifice X Goblins, where X is the number of creature types among creatures you control: you may search your library for a sorcery card, reveal it, and put it into its owner's graveyard. If you do so, shuffle that library afterwards. 1BR, T: return target permanent an opponent controls to its owner's hand spells cost any player up to 4 less to play
I then tap the rest of my land to get a 1/1 Goblin.
Your turn.
Turn 11 (Lavacamorada):
I had better generate some enchantment removal soon.
Master of the Flock Creature - Bird (2/2, colourless)? Discard a card: put a 4/4 Bird artifact creature token with flying into play Sacrifice a creature, sacrifice any number of Birds: tap that many target permanents
Or, like, get *any* cards in hand. That card is scary timebomb of doom.
Righteousness Device Artifact All library can't be the target of Arcane spells Whenever equipped creature is removed from the game, tap target red enchantment and destroy target Swamp Equipped creature gains rampage 2
...is my lack of surprise this turn. How should I generate an equipping cost for it, do you think?
Generate cards and take the first mana cost that appears, is what I suggest. --AC
Another rummage through my library gets this:
Thoroughly Mundane Rock Artifact protection from sorcery spells
...um, what does it give 'protection from sorcery spells'? I could do with understanding this before I assign it a place in the 'incoming' queue.
It gives itself protection from sorcery spells. Not too useful. I think it's a candidate for Utopification if you ever draw it.
After that, I'll go for another Goblin token.
Is that the end of your turn?
I put the Thoroughly Mundane Rock at the back of the queue so we don't have to deal with it for a while. That is the end of my turn.
Turn 12 (Lavacamorada): Vat of Bubbling Acid Artifact? 2U: you sacrifice a Golem. each player gains 4 life U, Sacrifice a land: destroy target permanent
Um... does this count as "really truly sick"? If so, I'll generate something new. If not, I'll sacrifice a Utopia to destroy your Sliver, then tap my Fish Tank to copy it and destroy your Spawning Season.
Weapon Rack of the Flying Fish, art., 4, T: attach an Equipment to a Bird Merfolk
Staff of Suppression, art., T, discard 1: 2 damage to a creature; 3, 3 life: counter activated ability
Cy's Aura, U ench., tap a colourless creature and sac this to regen a blocker; when this goes to a graveyard, regen a colourless creature; 1, sac this: destroy a land
Fish Tank of Doom, art., T, 4 life: copy a spell or ability; sac a Merfolk: get a 1/1 U Merfolk; sac a Merfolk: bounce a permanent; T, sac X Merfolk: get X 1/1 U Merfolk
Mistwalker, 3/3 U Wizard Cleric, whenever a Wizard Cleric goes to a graveyard from play, bounce target land
Jarcena the Annihilator, 2/2 U L. Bird, pay 4 life: unless an opponent discards a G ctr, deal X dmg to target player, where X = # of basic land types you control; as long as no opponent controls non-B ench., all L. ench. are W
Parallax Reversal Bauble, art., when this goes to a graveyard, you may pay 1GG to put up to 6 fade counters on target permanent an opp. controls
Master of the Flock, 2/2 cl. Bird, discard 1: make a 4/4 flying artifact Bird; sac a creature and X birds: tap X tgt. perm.
Warped Beast, 3/3 B Beast, sac: each players sacs a nonbasic land; sac: warp counter on target permanent, creatures w/ warp counters get -1/-4
Hand: In play:
7x Utopia (7 tapped)
Flying Sliver Bomb, art., sac a Sliver Bird: 7 to target player
Forestwalker's Code, enchantment, all tapped creatures are black
Thought-Powered Harpoon, art., Whenever any player draws a card, target player may pay 4UUB. If that player does, ~this~ deals 6 damage to all Merfolk. When a creature damaged this way is put into a graveyard from play this turn, return it to play under your control.
2 1/4 Golem artifact creature tokens
Sliver of Many Things, 1/2 G Sliver, G: reveal 6 cards, put non-W enchantments into play, reorder the rest; RG: burn target player for 1 unless they tap a permenant; on leaving play, target player may sacrifice a Merfolk, if they do, destroy target permenant; 2,T: everyone gets 3 Utopiae, and must shuffle after doing this.
2 1/1 R Goblin tokens
Sacrifical Lamb, 1/3 R Cleric, sac: until EOT, instead of any player losing life put that many Utopiae into play, then shuffle library.
Spawning Season, R Ench., 4GR: 1 1/1 red Goblin; sac X Goblins, X is creature types you control: search library for sorcery, reveal, and put into graveyard. shuffle afterwards.; 1BR, T: return target permanent an opponent controls to its owner's hand; spells cost any player up to 4 less to play
By the way, you can load custom cards into untap.in or maybe cockatrice...
