Microsoft/Outlook

This seems a good time to ask.  What is exchange for?  It pretty much forces you to use outlook - but what does it offer in return?  There must be some reason it is used?  --Vitenka

It has a comprehensive set of meeting arrangement and shared calendar tools, and a global addressbook.  Apparently. -- Senji
