To get to Yaohan from Colindale, turn right out of the station (into Colindale Avenue), walk past the shops, continue to follow the avenue to the junction at its end (~ 5 minutes). Cross the road (Edgware Rd.) and turn right (this is where the secondhand bookshop is). Cross another road (Grove Park), and you are right beside Oriental City, walk in and spend all your money ^_^ (somehow it just doesn't sound as good as Yaohan Plaza.... - Tsunami) They're now intending to knock Yaohan down and rebuild it, which is all very well, but they didn't actually consult with any of the communities which will be adversely affected, and there will be no facilities there for the 3 years the reconstruction will take, resulting in a loss of jobs and probably some businesses. There's a petition [here] that can be signed to request an public inquiry into the decision, if you're interested in doing so.

Has lots of Chinese and Japanese shops, a massive oriental supermarket, a food court with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Malaysian etc. food stalls, a number of more upmarket restaurants, a Sega World. Used to have an Asahiya Shoten (Japanese bookshop) but it has now closed.
