Wrote lots of stuff. Mostly set in one particular world. Good writer in SunKitten's opinion. Some of the books are a bit samey after a while, but it's good samey and there's an advantage to not needing to know much background before starting a random book :)

Very enjoyable style - not as excessively poetic as the WheelOfTime guy (RobertJordan) but much more fluid than, for example, TerryGoodkind? (Sword of Truth series) - CorkScrew
Magician (ISBN 0586217835 ) was his first, and the revised edition still sticks in my mind as probably his best, and certainly a very good one to start with. It reminds me of Dune in scope, and doesn't fall too flat. I've read most of his books, barring the latest couple in the current arc, and agree with 'enjoyable but samey'. I'll happily lend Magician out, but would need to retrieve it from home, first. -- TheInquisitor

We likewise have Magician; I too like it and will happily lend it out. - MoonShadow
