Quick Synopsis, since SunKitten is thinking of getting it.

Psychic powers are a rare thing, and unpredictable - yet always destructive.  They take mass from the surrounding area in order to do stuff.
And, of course, the people with these powers are almost always nutsoid.  The power users live in two places:
1. The destroyed areas surrounding civilisation.
2. In a nice ordered organisation 'for the help of everyone' with lots of fascist overtones.  Either working for them, or imprisoned by them.

The plot starts off quite mysterious - but quite quickly devolves into an outright war.  The protagonist is 'all that' but so are the ambiguously bad guys.  I don't know how it ends, but it spends most of the episodes in the middle doing nothing but action sequences and angsting over whether it's really worth it or not.
Which is about where I am, minus the angst.  It's not bad.  I don't know whether or not it gets good though. --Vitenka

Sounds pretty identical to EsOtherwise.. - MoonShadow
Dunno.  It's mainly just a nice chunk of stylish fighting-anime with a thin plot to tie it together.  The protagonist visualises his power as a big fist and announces it as "The first strike..." and so forth, which could be cheesy but kinda works.  His sister is the traditional Oracle, who (it seems) is telling the whole story in retrospect and through dreams.  He's mainly out to protect her, which expands to protecting everyone which really expands into beating down the ambiguous guy who manages to defeat him that once.  It's got tanks and explosions and a guy whose psychic power is to make his car go really fast...  There's little actually redeeming about it, as far as I got - but there was something in there worth watching.  Plus lots of stuff goes boom, which is always good.  --Vitenka (Who liked Naruto on its merits, so that's probably some kind of warning...)
Having just read what you say about EsOtherwise - yes, almost identical in both conceit and structure.  Except that the protagonist of this one starts off on the outside (and does end up inside for a bit) and it's some sympathetic others who follow the path described in Es.  The net seems to think the two aren't in the same series as each other, and that Scryed is the better.  Oh!  I just remembered.  The intro/extro subtly changes from episode to episode, which is a nice thing.  --Vitenka

I watched the first two episodes at Minamicon, and it reminded me of EsOtherwise. The characters and their background stories intrigue me. They do look like they risk all being annoyingly arrogant, and possibly spending too much time on the fights, but it did look reasonably interesting. --AlexChurchill
