All AlexChurchill knows for sure is that it has some very nice theme songs, by Yui Horie (who did a number of the LoveHina and EarthDefenderMaoChan songs, which AC also likes very much).

I think it's another anime like Kanon, which was first a DatingSim, then made into an anime?  Not sure.  Can anyone comment who's seen any?

I _think_ this is the same thing as RePure?.  If so, I believe there is a GameboyAdvance version of the game coming out at some point (in Japan). - Kazuhiko

The main character has just failed his entrance exam and, completely at random, has ended up living in a mansion with four girls who tell him they are his sisters.  By the end of the second episode he has _13_ girls living in the mansion with him, all claiming to be his sisters.  Some of them may even have a personality.

The guy is the stereotypical SociallyIneptMaleMainCharacter high school failure with no backbone and no special abilities of any kind (academic, sporting or otherwise) specially designed to make the target audience believe that, yes, this could happen to you!  After all, he's not better than you at anything so all those girls would fall at your feet just as easily...

As for the girls, I'm sure you'll learn more about them in later episodes but, just at the moment, replacing them with cardboard cutouts that fawn all over the main character could only have a positive impact on the storyline.

Hmm, that was perhaps a little harsh....

...

Nah...

This may well become a wonderful series but, unfortunately, I don't have the patience to find out...  Watching all the way through the second episode was almost painful, with only two chara introductions being vaguely amusing.

Of course, if you want to learn 13 different ways of saying 'brother' then this is most definitely the show for you...

 - Kazuhiko

Moop.  Right.  Guess that's one to stay away from until/unless I hear that the later plot really makes it worthwhile, then... -.-;;
And it sounds plausible that it could have been a DatingSim, but then equally, it could just be another random HaremAnime.  --AlexChurchill

On the evidence of [this fictional chat log] featuring the ?twelve girls in question (which is quite entertaining to read), it looks like it definitely was a DatingSim.  --AC
*shudder*  The 13th girl to arrive never actually claimed to be his sister (he just assumed after the rest of them dropped in) so I'm guessing she isn't one of them - Kazuhiko
It's an age old game!  (Counts around in a circle) Sister, sister, sister, sister... princess!  (Everyone runs around crazy for a while)

There's a second SisterPrincess anime, called SisterPrincess Repure. Thinking it might be different to the first (or possibly that Kazuhiko could conceivably have been slightly harsh), I watched episodes 1-2 at AyaCon... and discovered K-sama was absolutely accurate.

Oh boy. The handsome, kind and wonderful Oniichan saves his sisters from the terrible tribulations and trials of their life. So far these include losing a bag of pansy seeds (and recruiting lots of sisters to search for them), and agonising over whether to cut up Onii-chan's photo to put his face into a locket.  Um, yeah.  And at least two thirds of the girls are irritating.

The only redeeming features of the first two eps are a wonderfully surreal dream sequence worth of AzumangaDaioh, and the 5-minute character snapshot of the tomboy at the end of episode 2, which gave her character more depth than any of the others have acquired so far.

Still worth avoiding though. Which is a pity because the SisterPrincess DatingSim is very well respected amongst Renai games.
--AlexChurchill, making an AyaCon Review of Repure based on 2 episodes. He would need quite some persuading to convince him to watch any more.
