I thought it was such a fabulous concept that someone ought to be able to flesh out, though. So tell us, collective Wiki hive-mind: what is a WindowsDragonDrop?
Surely it is the special move from the hidden character Billy Gaetes in the upcoming Virtual Fighter Combo Infinity? (you know, the one where it looks like it'll do something interesting but the console locks up instead). --Jumlian
3D Tetris clone. With brightly-coloured dragon-shaped blocks made of hard jelly that squish, bounce and interlock in interesting ways, and a physics model like [Triptych]'s. Yes, I like that. I want to play one now ^^; - MoonShadow
Microsoft's latest promotional campaign. Dragons fly overhead dropping copies of Windows onto their enemies (the EvilLinuxUsers?). --Kazuhiko
I really should be geeky and suggest it's got something to do with the unutterable horror of compiler design that led to such decisions as event loops... But I won't. Instead I'll suggest it as a new slang for a BSOD - making the assumption that tiny little dragons were carrying important bits of code around inside the system, and one of them got clumsier than usual. You get all sorts of additional 'sources of blue smoke' mileage out of that one, as well as some obvious targets for linux one-upmanship. (Valiant penguins defending themselves against the mighty dragon of Redmond.) I think we have a new candidate for a windows logo here. I'll stop now. --Vitenka
The WindowsDragonDrop, one of the twenty-seven LegendaryDragonDrops?, is of course a magical item in the new Xbox LegendOfZelda game. It's used to open the GatesOfRedmond?, and can later be traded to StreetUrchin? to recieve NightmareVisionOfYourOwnDeath?.
It is a corruption of widowsdragondrop, where widows dress up as dragons, and then drop the disguise to the shock of their audience. --Garbled
It is a now-defunct type of sweetie. They are quite sweet and nice, and the packet is easy to open, but it also has patronising directions on and the whole effect can become annoying. --Requiem
Tastes of amyl acetate and napalm, I presume. --Vitenka
It's a no-longer-current advertising slogan of the Windows Dragon glaziers company - "Need a new window? Call for a WindowsDragonDrop!" The slogan was discontinued after it was pointed out that dropping windows is a bad idea. --ChrisHowlett
Yes, and I think it's an utterly magnificent use of the Wiki! :D There's probably room for about 3 more pages in CategoryCallMyBluff? before the idea gets old. I'm up for it, anyway ;) --AlexChurchill
