Oh oh oh oh <brass>
Oh oh oh oh <brass>
Rrrrreeepicheep
The finest mouse you're ever gonna meet!
--ChrisHowlett, whose subconscious needs to be shot

Here comes a chicken, here comes a chicken
Chickin' down the road.
Here comes a chicken, here comes a chicken
Chickin' down the road.
That chicken's got the hiccups!
That chicken's got the hiccups!
Somebody help that chicken please.
--ChrisHowlett

Oh the prickle-eye bush, it prickes my heart full sore. Oh when I get out of this prickle-eye bush then I won't get back in it any more.

Evil catchy folk music. If you want this song in your head see SiteOfTheMoment --Nat

So try the theme tune to Kurumi then.  ARGH!  NOOOO!
Ku-Ru-Mi...  Possibly also only countered by the MarioBrothers? ThemeTune? (preferably the Shiggity-Schwa mix)  --Vitenka

How about this one then...
Ga ga ga ga ga ga GaoGaiger...
Ga ga ga ga ga ga GaoGaiger...
>.<  Pain...
Don't recognise it.  Which is, I presume, a good thing.  Try the theme from SuperMario?.  Preferably the 'ShiggityShiggityShwa' remix.

"If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air,
Quaint little villages here and there..."
NOOOO!  You evil, evil, evil man.  I'm glad I have anime MP3s playing in my ears right at this moment.  My brain may have difficulty surviving anyway.  *skips on to one of the really catchy songs in his playlist*  You evil, evil man...  --AlexChurchill
*blink*  That's odd.  I thought I recognised this as a song I quite liked.  Maybe I'm thinking of a different song? - Kazuhiko

Possibly.  Or possibly you've never seen a certain evil AMV, to SerialExperimentsLain as I recall, entitled "A Complete Waste of 6 Minutes 23 Seconds" (or something).  It's best watched when someone's showing it to you.  I can well believe that outside of the context of that AMV, the song is quite nice.  For us who have been scarred, however...  *shudder* *skips to another catchy anime MP3*  --AlexChurchill
Cool.  Wanna see it now :) - Kazuhiko
The song itself is actually quite nice (search for the first line in Google to get the lyrics). However, the AMV in question just repeats the first two lines over and over with an instrumental in between and appropriate visuals. Oneiros has a copy of the AMV, I believe. - MoonShadow
Sounds like the Groove Armada version.  I quite like it as background music but haven't listened to it for a while. - Kazuhiko

Yamarai Nai Yamarai Nai... (repeat ad infinitum)
Roughly, "Can't stop...".  As sung by the voice actors for Tenchi Muyu.  Possible things that "can't stop" include kareoke (a relative of RyoOhki?), playing ping-pong and other such things.  One of the few Tenchi-Muyo songs which is actually tolerable since they gave up pretending they can sing (which they can't) and just made a silly song instead.

I must remember to inflict this on various CambridgePeople? the next time I am in the vicinity.

I'm happy, I'm feeling glad, I've got sunshine in a bag...
*aaaaaargh!*
I'm useless but not for long, the future keeps rolling on, I'm happy, I'm feeling glad.. - SunKitten
/switch songs/
Get the cool! Get the cool shoe-shine!

Freed from desire
Mind and senses purified
(rpt endlessly, interspersing with "Na nana nana NAA-na, na naana, na na" repeated 8x )

Kazuhiko votes for PureEvil?:
Sugar Faaaiiry Love!...
[Now] available on DVD in the US! *wince*

PaulPower: SonicTheHedgehog fans will appreciate it when I mention the theme from Metropolis Zone.  Although I also find it useful for flushing other songs that I don't want in my head out.  Some would argue that the cure's worse than the disease...

Boom boom chi, tiddle-oom boom chi, wop-wap boom chi, tiddle-oom boom chi-chi,
OOEEOOEEOOEEOOEEOOEEOOEEOOOO...
wop-wap
BAM BADDAM, BADDAM BAM...
BAM BADDAM, BADDAM BAM...

Zankoku na tenshi no you ni
Shonen yo, shinwa ni nare...

Theme to NeonGenesisEvangelion, for anyone staring blankly. --K (surprised he still recognises this)
Corrected by AlexChurchill ;), who *likes* having this song in his head, at least by comparison to a lot of the others here...

It's something unpredictable, but in the end that's right: I hope you had the time of your life.
Probably the best thing Greenday ever did, and it's all because of the string accompanymnt.  On the other hand, it does get annoying.  --FR (Sorry it's not in Japanese...)
It's は予測不可能なしかしついにit's 何かあなたはあなたの生命の時間があったI の希望を訂正する :P --Requiem

Yes, I know it's gibberish. But it's the thought that counts. "It's the estimate impossibility there is no S; the oak finally it's something you correct I desire which has the time of your life."

"there is no S".  Maybe the song's secretly trying to tell us that we're in the Matrix. -- PaulPower

Another that comes to mind is
Daa da da daa diddle da da daa da da daa
da da daa da da daa daa daa daa daa... etc.
It's meant to be the music to Tetris.  Since you probably can't guess.
Requiem acquires an earworm. ^_^

Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, [bananaphone]!
(flash, contains slight gore and a particularly nasty earworm)
... Ebil.  --Vitenka (RingRingRing?...)

Let them know its christmas time again.....
Like "they" could care less!!!!
Be a lot better if we just stopped supplying weapons to them so that they can kill each other. --Tsunami

Fish Heads by Barnes & Barnes

See the [lyrics here] and a [sample on Amazon here].

DerangedAndDisturbing?!

[For everything in life...] [How could we have forgotten this one?]

Recently, every time I look at RecentChanges, I get Pure Morning by Placebo stuck in my head. I blame ChrisHowlett. --qqzm
Why? I don't know the song... --CH
[Lyrics] --qqzm

Everyone loves [magical Trevor]
The things that he does are ever so clever
Look at him now disappearing a cow.
Nuaaaaaaagh --Steve

ForNoApparantReason?: BuckyOHare?.  HelpMe?!  --Vitenka

Much as I blush to admit it:
Fighting evil by moonilght, winning love by daylight.  Never run from a real fight: she is the one named...
Yeah, I think that's enough.  --FR

ToTheClub

http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/54/ -- "annoying". Indeed.

MopAndSmiff.  For two days straight now!  Argh!  --Vitenka

Pallando contributes: [Suzy Snowflake]
  Here comes Suzy Snowflake,
  Dressed in a snow-white gown,
Tap, tap, tappin' at your windowpane,
To tell you she's in town.

[Wiggle jiggle, yellow middle, that's the best of what you are..] - click on English and on the egg song link, top right - SunKitten

StutterRap?, by [Morris Minor and the Majors] (TonyHawks? et al.)
No one's ever seen what I mean,
  At the age of n-n-n-n-n-n-thirteen,
We've all been caught in a m-m-mouth trap,
So join with us and do the st-st-st-st-st-st-stutter rap.
  [...]
(SeeAlso TheGoodOldDays)

[The expression in panel 3... so true]

<dum> Suddenly I - Suddenly I see ...!

Thump thump thump thump Thump Thump Thump Thump Thump
I ain't saying' she's a gold digger...

 --Garbled

Star Trekkin across the universe...

 Evil laugh

Para baila La Bamba, para baila La Bamba se necesit'una poca de gracia...
...Yo no soy marinero! Yo no soy marinero, soy Capitan, soy Capitan.

Stop! Think about what you're tryin' to do to me
Stop! Let your mind go and let yourself be free
Cos you need me (clap clap) and I need you (clap clap)
And without eachother there ain't nothing we can do...

Nuapurista kuulu se polokan tahti
jalakani pohjii kutkutti.
Ievan äiti se tyttöösä vahti
vaan kyllähän Ieva sen jutkutti,
sillä ei meitä silloin kiellot haittaa
kun myö tanssimme laiasta laitaan.
Salivili hipput tupput täppyt
äppyt tipput hilijalleen..
[Leva's Polka] - [Thanks to Alex Exler, you can all suffer along with me!]
Due to the "miracle" of modern phones, this is now my ringtone. --K

I can't control myself - can't control myself
Stuck in the middle like I wanna like I wanna
She licked off her lip gloss, Her hips tossed back
And forth. Side to side. Up and down she turned me round.
..
You got you got you got what it takes to make this boy be bad
You got you got you got what it takes to make me leave my man

Argh
You know when you've overdosed on RadioOne?.

My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump ....
MAKE IT STOP PLEEEEZE!!!!
my lovely lady lumps! -bwahahahah! "lady-lumps" poetry, of the highest order. Hoshi-Chan

   They're gonna taste great!
  They're gonna taste great!
I can hear the sound of Frosties hitting my plate!
Apparently the kid in question got bullied for that advert. Also, I always hear it as "...Frosties making me late!" --CH

Baba yetu, Yesu uliye
Mbinguni yetu, Yesu, amina!
Baba yetu, Yesu, uliye
Jina lako litukuzwe.

Although I can never get it to scan... --CH

oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ
tát savitúr váreniyaṃ
bhárgo devásya dhīmahi
dhíyo yó naḥ pracodáyāt

[Sounds innocent enough,] until it's been played every mealtime for a week. (The full track is 55 minutes long.) --B

Well, I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more... --M-A
To be the man who walked a thousand miles to lie down at your door - SunKitten

"Stop me, oh stop me, stop me if you think that you've heard this one before."  Yes, I have heard it before.  Yesterday on the radio, and the day before that...  It's still a really annoying song, so please do stop! --M-A

Do-do do-do do-do do-do
do do do
do-do do-do

Somehow there not being actual words there doesn't make this any easier to get out of my head, gah. --SF
Though cleverly does seem to make it impossible to put it into someone else's head.  --Vitenka
BwaHaHa?. Does that make it any more apparent? Did you somehow escape Talk on Corners? Have I given enough clues away now?
Ah, so there are lyrics, the first few of which may prove appropriate? --CH

(rappy voice)
I like you more than pie.
I like you more than pie.
I like you more than pie.
{beat}
Please don't die.
Repeat AdInfinitum?.  --Vitenka

No-one will recognise this unless they were listening to Radio 2 while I was driving back to Cambridge on Saturday, but:

Well isn't it just
The funniest thing?
Make one little change
To the shape of the wing
And the glider stays up
Like a robin in spring!
It hovers and flits;
I'm telling you it's
Just the funniest thing.

... as sung by Wilbur Wright. --CH

Jesus put this song into our hea-arts.
Jesus put this song into our hea-arts.
It's a song OF JOY no-one can - take a-wa-ay:
Jesus put this so-o-ong - into our hearts!

--Requiem (yes, no-one can take it away. I wish they could, it's been there for weeks now.)
MuHaHa --B

Cut my tongue out
I've been caught out
Like a giant juggernaught

That's probably two lines more than enough for anybody who knows this song. No, wait, make that three lines.
--SF

Any time somebody mentions the name of the company where MoonShadow, Vitenka and ChiarkPerson work, I get [this] stuck in my head. Gah. --SF again

YOU MAY DREAM, maashiro na~!
--TsundereLightning (it must be the fact that I'm writing romance)
Koi wa tsubasa ni naru, te-nn-shi no yubi~~kiri kanau you ni! --AlexChurchill (why would you ever want to get that song out of your head? It's lovely! :) )
Because I don't know the lyrics that well?  So that one bar just repeated itself in my head?  Fortunatley, you came along and reminded me of the rest.  ExactlyAsPlanned?!  MwuHaHa?!

Horsey horsey, don't you stop...  --Vitenka (darn radio)
TootSweets?.  And variants.  DropShips, Drop-Ships, the drops you are shipping, the ships that you drop... --Vitenka (PodSquads? too.)

Earworm banisher - because it's such an effective earworm itself - It's the Final Countdown dededee dee, dedede dee dee... - SunKitten

[Owls] - everyone is fond of owls... --B

"It's the end of the world as we know it..."
"It's the end of the world as we know it..."
"It's the end of the world as we know it... and I feel fine!"

Also, though this is my fault:

"I'm just a kid, and my life is a NIGHTMARE!"

Kick!  Punch!  It's all in the mind -
If you wish to learn it, I think you'll find -
That what I'll teach ya is gonna beat cha!
Nevertheless, you'll get a lesson from teachya now...
--ElliottBelser, who cannot beat the first level of PaRappaTheRapper?

Oh-ahh-ahh-ahh!
Dansa med oss
Klappa era händer
Gjör som vi gjör
Ta nagrå steg at vanster
Lyssna och lar
Missa inte chansen
Nu ar vi har med
[Caramelldansen]!

Because I was stupid enough to look at #tikkirei out of curiosity, Some Might Say, by Oasis. --SF

I saw that you saw Saw,
And I see you saw Saw Two, too.
But I don't see what you saw Saw Four for, too.
Argh!  --Vitenka

Eeensolent boy, this slave of fashion!
Basking in your glory!
Not that I mind that being stuck in my head, really. --CH

I rage against the trials of love!
I curse the fading of the light!
